December 2023
The idea
Knack Kids begins in Hyderabad after a term of parent-teacher meetings where every conversation stopped at marks. The first prototype was a printed talent-mapping worksheet used with 18 families in Madhapur.
March–August 2024
Parent research
140 structured interviews with parents of children aged 5–18 across Hyderabad, Warangal and Vijayawada. The recurring theme: families kept certificates in WhatsApp folders and had no honest way to show a coach or school what a child had already done.
October 2024
First talent framework
A nine-domain discovery framework — visual arts, performing arts, music, sport, strategy games, STEM and coding, language and writing, leadership and service, and craft. Reviewed by six practising school counsellors and three sports coaches before release.
April 2025
Young Achievers launch
The Talent Passport goes live with a verifier pilot of 12 Hyderabad schools and academies. The first cohort of 300 families creates 1,100 achievement entries in the opening quarter.
Today
A research-backed community
42 verifier institutions across three cities, and an ongoing longitudinal study following 200 children over three years to see how early talent signals hold up. Next up: a coach-facing progress model for children aged 5–8.
